RECALL: Child's High Chair, Booster Seat

Graco is recalling their wooden high chair and Evenflo is recalling select booster seats.

Grco is recalling approximately 86,000 units of its Classic Wood Highchairs for a potential fall hazard. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission's recall on the product, the high chair's seat can loosen or detach from the base, which can pose a fall hazard to a child in the seat.

There have been 58 reports of seats loosening or detaching from the base, and nine reports of children falling from the seat as it detached from the base.

The chairs were sold at Babies R Us, Burlington Coat Factory, Target.com, Walmart.com, and other retail and online stores.

Evenflo Big Kid Factory Select Booster Seats

Certain Evenflo Big Kid Factory Select booster seats shipped between August 6, 2012 and September 18, 2012 "fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 213, 'Child Restraint Systems,'" according to SaferCar.gov.

The seats were originally manufactured  for retail display purposes only and "inadvertently shipped to Evenflo's institutional customers (i.e. hospitals, government agencies) to be given to families."

None of the recalled units were sold at retail stores.

The affected seats have a label stating "DISPLAY ONLY - NOT INTENDED FOR SALE" located on the back of the booster seat head rest.
