Attention McRib Fans! The cult classic returns to McDonald's Restaurants on Monday, Dec. 17.
The McRib: It's coming back!
After a delayed release date, the McRib will return to area McDonald's restaurants on Monday, Dec. 17.
The "cult favorite" according to a Huffington Post article was originally scheduled to release on Oct. 22, but was delayed due to unseasonably warm weather in the early part of the fall.

A Fox News article added that McDonald's Restaurants are hoping that the comeback of the McRibs will boost fourth quarter sales. "McDonald’s revealed last month that sales fell for the first time since 2003."
According to the Huffington Post, the sales for the McRib are't high enough for the sandwich to earn a year round spot on the menu, so the company brings it back during the holidays, "when the huger for pork is at its highest."
