An ACS Run, a Triathlon and Meetings, This Week in Upper Dublin

Check out a few of the events happening this week in the township.

 

On Monday, May 13 at 7 p.m., the Upper Dublin School Board will meet in the high school cafeteria. According to the draft agenda, school district superintendent Michael Pladus will present district-wide cost reduction plan options, and business administrator Brenda Bray will present the 2013-14 proposed final budget. On Tuesday, May 14 at 6:30 p.m., the Upper Dublin Board of Commissioners will hold its stated meeting at the township building. According to the draft agenda, the board will consider action on a revised Dresher Overlay Ordinance and will consider action on a resolution approving traffic signals at Limekiln Pike and Bell Lane. Those looking to support the American Cancer Society can walk laps around the track during any portion of the 24-hour Relay for Life event at Upper Dublin High School from May 17 at 4 p.m. through May 18 at 4 p.m. The goal is 20,000 laps. For more information on the event, click here.

Upper Dublin will hold its second annual triathlon on Sunday, May 19. The event will feature a 350-meter swim in the Upper Dublin High School pool; an 11.2-mile bike race through the Fort Washington Office Park and greater Fort Washington area; and a 5K run through the Temple Ambler campus.
