Ambler Resident Getting Ready for Walk to Defeat ALS

An Ambler resident will participate in this year's Greater Philadelphia Walk to Defeat ALS.

Not long after  Damon Kane was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), his partner at Godshall Kane, Kevin Godshall, of Ambler, along with Kane's co-workers and friends came together for the Greater Philadelphia Walk to Defeat ALS.

The team, Damon's Pit Crew, will walk for their second year in the Walk to Defeat ALS, which is held Nov. 3.

According to the ALS Philadelphia website, last year, Kane joined his friends and family and walked the first two miles, however, as the disease has progressed, this year, he will join the team in his wheelchair.
