Taking the SAT: What to bring (and not to bring) this Saturday

If you or your student is taking the SAT this weekend... here is a list from the ETS of what to bring.. and what not to bring to the test...

WHAT TO BRING TO THE SAT EXAM

I would add a few things:
1. Prepare the night before.  Get all your items in your backpack and ready to go.  Ticket, ID, snacks, water, #2 pencils, etc.. all set the night before.  The last thing you want is to have to find something the morning of the test.
2. Prep in the morning.  Take 10 minutes and do some sample SAT problems.  This can be any combination of new problems and review from your study book.
3. Think big picture.  The SAT environment can be stressful.  Stay calm. You ARE ready.  This is just one piece of the larger college admissions process.

4. Get there on time.  Plan to be at your test center by 7:55.
5. If you aren't going to your usual school consider a test run to make sure you know where to go, and where to park when you get there.
