School's Back: Hit the ground running...

School has started... now hit the ground running

The new school year allows for a fresh start.

Here are some simple suggestions to get a strong start to the year:

> get organized early - set up your notebooks, folders

> establish good habits now - often the first week of school is review. Use this time to create productive study and time management habits.

> color code - use a different color for each subject

>know your strengths and weaknesses - which subjects may require you to make more effort or devote more time... plan accordingly

> get help when you need it - there are many resources to help you succeed.  Meet with your teachers and guidance professionals, use peer help, use internet based resources, or seek out a professional tutor. (even parents can help sometimes!!!??)

> Set yourself up to succeed - learning should be a positive adventure.  Create an environment that enables you to work to your potential
