Giant and Martin's to Offer Seasonal Flu Shots

Carlisle, PA – In preparation for the upcoming fall and winter seasons, GIANT Food Stores and MARTIN’S Food Markets are again offering flu vaccinations at all of their instore pharmacies. No appointment is needed and walk-in vaccinations are provided any time the pharmacy is open by GIANT/MARTIN’S trusted in-store pharmacists.

“Flu viruses change from year to year, which is why a new re-formulated flu vaccine is needed annually,” said Leigh Shirley, director of pharmacy. “GIANT and MARTIN’S care for the health and wellbeing of all of our customers and is your flu shot destination again this season.”

Cost for the flu shot is $30 and most major insurance plans along with Medicare are accepted. GIANT/MARTIN’S has also partnered with various health-related vendors to offer a free coupon book worth more than $30 in savings, while supplies last, to customers who receive a flu shot.

In addition to receiving the annual flu shot, GIANT/MARTIN’S has taken extra steps to ensure its pharmacies and health departments are well stocked to handle flu-related prescriptions and over-the-counter medications. GIANT/MARTIN’S pharmacists are also available to provide on-site flu clinics at workplaces and businesses throughout the community.
