Upper Dublin Student's Original Play to be Produced for Playwriting Festival

Emily Zauzmer, a senior at UDHS, has been named a First-Place Winner in the Philadelphia Young Playwrights New Voices’ contest. Out of over 800 submissions, 10 students were chosen for this honor. As part of this award, her original comedic play is being produced at Temple University and will be performed during the Philadelphia Young Playwrights 2013 Playwriting Festival in October.

Zauzmer's play, Basic Cable, will be directed by theater professionals and performed by Temple University theater undergraduate actors.

Zauzmer's play will be performed on Friday, Oct. 11 at 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 18 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m.
