On Friday, March 29, the Olitsky Gallery will hold an opening to showcase the watercolors of Diane Maurer.
The community is invited to attend the opening of the exhibition following Shabbat services; the exhibit runs through April 25.
Maurer holds a BFA from Moore College of Art. Fascinated by the play of light, she depicts the delightful shifts of nature from dazzling sunlight to somber morning fog. Her strong compositions add the mood or emotional pull that defines her style.
Maurer‘s paintings are exhibited in numerous national and regional invitational and juried shows. She is a signature member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society and the North East Watercolor Society, and has been a long-time instructor at Montgomery County Community College, at local art clubs, and in her own studio where she holds classes, lectures and demonstrations.
Congregation Beth Or is located at 239 Welsh Road, Maple Glen.
