Lower Gwynedd Teen Competes on Food Network Show “Chopped”

Lower Gwynedd teen Mikey Robins will make his mark on national television when he appears on a special edition of the Food Network’s show “Chopped” tonight, according to the Ambler Gazette

Robins, a Germantown Academy sophomore, appeared in the show’s “Teen Invasion” episode.

“Chopped,” which is hosted by culinary celebrity Ted Allen, is a cooking competition show that begins with four contestants and ends with one contestant, who then earns the title of “Chopped Champion,” along with $10,000.

According to Robins, “Chopped” was holding an open casting for those who were interested in competing in the teen episode.  He filled out an application and participated in a lengthy application procedure that involved interviews and camera testing.
