Upper Dublin's Cross Named to PA Sports Hall of Fame

Dee Fichter Cross, head coach of Upper Dublin girls' lacrosse team, has been named to the South Central chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame.

Dee Fichter Cross, of Oreland, and the head coach for the Upper Dublin girls' lacrosse has been named to the South Central chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, according to Philly.com.

Cross was previously the head coach at Abington. "She was a standout player at Norristown in the late 1970s and went on to earn team MVP honors in three of her four years at Shippensburg," according to the article.

Cross was featured in Sports Illustrated "Faces in the Crowd" in 1978 and "US Women’s World Cup Lacrosse silver Medalist Team 1986, US Women’s Lacrosse World Cup Champion Gold Medalist Team 1989."
