Road Work to Begin Tonight on Norristown Rd. in Upper Dublin Township

PennDOT plans to repair and resurface roadways in Whitpain, Upper Dublin, Whitemarsh and other surrounding communities.

 

PennDOT plans to begin construction tonight on Gilbertsville Road and Route 100, as part of a $12.3 million project to repair and resurface 21 state highways throughout Montgomery County.

WFMZ reported that roadwork will begin tonight on Gilbertsville Road between Maugers Mill Road and Route 73 (Swamp Pike). One lane will be closed from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., for milling.

July 22-26, one lane will be closed on Route 100 between King Street and Farmington Road from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., for milling.

Other state highways scheduled for resurfacing as part of this countywide project include:

  • Morris Road between Bethlehem Pike and Plymouth Road in Whitemarsh and Whitpain townships;
  • Norristown Road between Route 463 (Horsham Road) and Tennis Avenue in Horsham and Upper Dublin townships;
  • Trooper Road between Germantown Pike and Woodlyn Avenue in Worcester and East Norriton townships;
  • Susquehanna Road between Route 611 (Easton Road) and Twining Road in Abington and Upper Dublin townships;
  • Meetinghouse Road/Creamery Road between Anders Road and Route 113 (Bridge Road) in Skippack Township;
  • Level Road/Evansburg Road/Anders Road between Level Road and Stump Hall Road in Lower Providence and Skippack townships;
  • River Road/Creek Road between Germantown Pike and Route 113 (Bridge Road) in Lower Providence and Skippack township;
  • Kepier Road between Sunnybrook Road and Bleim Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township;
  • Roberts Road/Old Gulph Road/ Harriton Road/Morris Avenue between Route 30 (Lancaster Pike) and Spring Mill Road in Lower Merion Township;
  • Route 463 (Roberts Road/Broad Street/Main Street/Cowpath Road) between Route 63 (Forty Foot Road/Welsh Road) and Route 309/202 (Bethlehem Pike/Doylestown Road) in Hatfield Borough, Hatfield and Montgomery townships;
  • Route 563 (Ridge Road) between Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) and County Line Road in Upper Salford and Salford townships;
  • Allentown Road between Troxel Road and Mininger Road in Towamencin, Hatfield and Franconia townships;
  • Route 23 (Conshohocken State Road) between Centennial Road and Manayunk Road in Lower Merion Township;
  • Route 320 (South Gulph Road) at Route 320 (Trinity Lane) in Upper Merion Township;
  • South Gulph Road between Route 320 (Trinity Lane) and Crooked Lane in Upper Merion Township;
  • Park Avenue/Schwenksville Road between Route 29 (Main Street) and Salford Station Road in Upper Salford Township;
  • Linfield Road between Evergreen Road and Sanatoga Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township;
  • Old Forty Foot Road between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Route 63 (Mainland Road/Sumneytown Pike) in Skippack and Towamencin townships; and
  • Germantown Pike between Harts Lane and Joshua Road in Whitemarsh Township; and Route 611 (Easton Road) between Meetinghouse Road and Maple Avenue.


In addition, crews will install new curb ramps at the following intersections:

• Route 100 between Route 663 (King Street) and North State Road in Pottstown Borough and Upper Pottsgrove Township;
• Morris Road between Bethlehem Pike and Plymouth Road/School Road in Whitemarsh and Upper Dublin townships;
• Norristown Road between Route 463 (Horsham Road) and Tennis Avenue in Horsham and Upper Dublin townships;
• Trooper Road at Germantown Pike in East Norriton and Worcester townships;
• Susquehanna Road between Route 611 (Old York Road) and Twining Road in Abington and Upper Dublin townships;
• Level Road/Evansburg Road/Anders Road between Ridge Pike and Germantown Pike in Lower Providence and Upper Providence townships;
• Gilbertsville Road between Maugers Mill Road and Route 73 (Swamp Pike/East Philadelphia Avenue in Upper Pottsgrove and Douglass townships;
• Roberts Road/Old Gulph Road/ Harriton Road/Morris Avenue between Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Montgomery Avenue in Lower Merion Township;
• Route 463 (Roberts Road/Broad Street/Main Street/Cowpath Road) between Route 63 (Welsh Road) and Lowes Driveway in Hatfield Borough, Hatfield and Montgomery townships;
• Route 563 (Ridge Road) at Allentown Road in Salford Township;
• Route 23 (Conshohocken State Road) between Woodbine Road and Manayunk Road in Lower Merion Township;
• Route 320 (South Gulph Road) between Interstate 76 and Gypsy Road in Upper Merion Township;
• Park Avenue/Schwenksville Road at Main Street in Schwenksville Borough;
• Old Forty Foot Road at Sumneytown Pike in Towamencin Township; and
• Germantown Pike between Crescent Avenue and Joshua Road in Whitemarsh Township.
