Oreland Man Keeping Family Tradition at Penn

A residence hall at the Ivy League school is named for Tony Krumbhaar's great-grandfather.

Most people attending college don't have a family member's name attached to one of the buildings.

Tony Krumbhaar, a senior at the University of Pennsylvania, does. But that's not his only tie to the Ivy League school.

Krumbhaar, 22, who hails from Oreland, was recently featured in the University of Pennsylvania's Penn News.

The psychology and nursing major is preceded at U. Penn by his brother, his father, and one of his grandfathers. But it was his great-grandfather, Gaylord P. Harnwell, who held the presidency of the school for 17 years and eventually lent his name to one of its residence halls.
