Goats 'Mowing' Lawns in Upper Dublin

Temple University's Center for Sustainable Communities, Upper Dublin Township and Upper Dublin School District have partnered together in a pilot program throughout the township that is using 'Katahdin sheep for 'vegetive management.'"

The sheep spent the summer clearing "invasive plant species from stormwater basins and Upper Dublin High School courtyards," according to a news release on Temple Ambler's website.

Students are also studying if the sheep are "a viable alternative to weeding and mowing the courtyards," according to the release.
