Three Timoney Knox lawyers among presenters at PA Bar Institute's 20th annual Estate Law Institute

Three lawyers from Timoney Knox LLP in Fort Washington will be among the presenters at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s 20th annual Estate Law Institute Nov. 13 and 14 in Philadelphia.

The Pennsylvania Bar Association’s continuing education arm, the Bar Institute, will host The Estate Law Institute, a leading forum for estate attorneys in Pennsylvania, at the Philadelphia Convention Center.

George M Riter, Timoney Knox managing partner, and Thomas A. Boulden, a partner in the firm, will lead an interactive session dealing with the impact of court decisions arising out of Orphans’ Court cases. They will highlight new cases for both litigators and estate planners. Topics will include: fees and commissions, removal of trustees, surcharge and gifting cases.

Timoney Knox associate Jean Bond Brown will co-present a seminar entitled, “I Don’t Normally Practice in Orphans’ Court, But…” The session is a primer on handling matters in Orphans’ Court, where most trust, estate, fiduciary and guardianship litigation is decided. The presentation is designed to give civil litigators and estate lawyers who rarely litigate, practical information to help them find and comply with the rules, procedures and customs of the Orphans’ Courts in Pennsylvania.
