School families of all ages and friends of The Montessori School in Dresher volunteered recently for our annual Family Community Service Day, and helped beautify the grounds and play areas of the school.

We are grateful for the Upper Dublin Compost Site Facilities that helped speed the process. The availability of the compost and the compost itself were perfectly suited to our needs.

As a school that believes in demonstrating responsibility of our environment to all our students of every age, we applaud Upper Dublin's effort of sustainability. Our own recycling, composting and gardening programs fit into our emphasis of Global Citizenship.

Dr Maria Montessori, Italian physician and educator, founded the Montessori system of education, which embodies key learning skills identified for success in the 21st century. The Montessori method incorporates multi-age groupings of children that are directed by teachers who facilitate the concept of individualized learning. Teachers adjust their material according to each student’s mastery of academic, intellectual and social learning, thus building students’ strengths and transforming weaknesses. The Montessori School in Dresher serves children from 18 months through sixth grade.
