Back in the 1970′s and 1980′s the Pepsi Company did a series of product taste testing called the “Pepsi Challenge”. Do you remember that? Individuals were asked to taste two beverages (one Pepsi and the other Coke) and then choose which one they liked better. Results showed that Pepsi was the one chosen for taste. However, when individuals were told which brown liquid was which..they more often than not chose Coke. Hmmm.
To some people the brand name says more than the quality, the comfort, or the style. To some, avoiding brands is just as important as buying them is to the former.
All of that being said, there are times when the Brand..the Orginal..the One… is the best. It can’t be repeated and it can’t be replaced. If you are into music and there is a singer who voice resonates with you…you would be able to identify him/her after hearing just a few words sung of his/her latest song (even if you never heard it before). An artist that is true to him/herself, regardless if they are trying “new things” in the name of self-improvement, will always carry their own mark…or brand if you will. And that is what makes them identifiable and irreplaceable....
