Montgomery Twp., PA: Today, Will Sylianteng announced that his campaign has received the endorsement of former Governor Ed Rendell.
“It is my pleasure to endorse Will Sylianteng in his bid for the State House in the 151st District,” Governor Rendell said. “I urge the voters of the 151st to elect Will to the legislature because Will is the only candidate in the race who will truly fight for public education, jobs, and the environment. Will is a strong, independent-minded leader who will help put Pennsylvania back on track.”
Sylianteng responded, “my campaign is honored to receive the endorsement of Governor Rendell. He knows what it takes to run an effective state government that works for all Pennsylvanians. We need to change the system in Harrisburg so that we can once again have a state government that functions this way.”
“I am eager to contribute to the task of making sure that government once again functions as it should for the benefit of the citizens of my district and of the entire Commonwealth,” Sylianteng continued. “I hope the voters of my district will give me that opportunity when they go to the polls this November. I am humbled to have the support of our former Governor, and I humbly ask the voters of the 151st District for their support as well, as we work towards victory in November.”
Will Sylianteng is the Democratic candidate running against State Rep. Todd Stephens in the 151st district in Montgomery County. He resides in Montgomery Township with his wife and three year old daughter, and he is running for state legislature to work hard to ensure that Montgomery County continues to be a great place for families to raise their children. That's a surprise, I thought the fromer head of the DNC would endorse a Republican.
