Boileau Festival 2012

On Saturday, May 5th, The Friends of Nathaniel Boileau Farmstead, Inc., will hold our sixth annual spring event.  The sheep herding dogs and Revolutionary Soldiers are expected to make a return, as well as our farm animals, live music and free food.

This year we have invited the Past Masters of Colonial Domestic Arts to present their “Early American Pastimes for Children.” This is in addition to our demonstrations of cooking and wool spinning.

Another addition this year is the Penn’s Woods Puppet Theater which will offer two performances of their show “The Walls have Ears.” This company has been a big draw wherever they have performed, according to those who have seen their show.

Finally, we hope to repeat our “hayride” down the new trail.  The hayride wagon will be pulled by an antique tractor from the 1930’s.

The festival will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., on Saturday May 5th… Rain or Shine.

You are urged to attend this annual event and enjoy the Farmstead and all of the events.  And don’t forget to bring your friends and your youngsters… it’s for them as much as it is for you!!
