On Saturday, the Upper Dublin Public Library held an open house to celebrate the end of construction inside the buildling.
According to a Times Herald story, the library started a fundraising initiative called UDPL-ReNEWed! to cover the costs of modernizing the library.
Things renovated? The circulation and information desks, a conference room, a teen/young adult reading area and a new quiet reading lounge.
While the construction is finished, the library still has more work to be done. According to the story, the goal is to raise $100,000, of which the library has raised 90 percent. The total cost will come in at about $250,000.
