Criminal Mischief - On Wednesday, July 11, at approximately 6:42 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Logan Ave. in North Hills for a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. Upon arrival, the victim told the officer that on Tuesday, July 10, at approximately 6 p.m., he parked his green Toyota Corolla in his driveway. At 4:42 p.m. on July 11, he came out to find the rear window of the vehicle shattered and unstable, and parts of the window were beginning to collapse into the vehicle.

DUI - On Wednesday, July 11, at approximately 1:43 a.m., while on routine patrol in the Ambler section of the township, an officer observed a grey Mercury Grand Marquis slouched over in the driver’s seat at the 7-Eleven. When officers made entry into the vehicle, there was an overwhelming odor of alcoholic beverage and Louis Testa, of the 400 block of Marion Ave., Ambler, had watery, bloodshot eyes, and slurred, mumbling speech. Officers requested a PBT test, which Testa denied, as well as a chemical blood test. Testa was processed for DUI general impairment.

Warrant - On Friday, July 6, at approximately 8:02 p.m., an officer observed a silver Toyota Sienna van, and a PennDOT check of the tags showed that the PA registrations was suspended for insurance cancellation. The officer initiated a traffic stop at Bethlehem Pike and Highland Ave. for the vehicle code violation and the driver, identified as Jonathan Torres, of the 5000 block of Loretto Ave, Philadelphia, also had his operating privileges suspended. There was also a warrant out of Doylestown Township in Bucks County for failure to appear for a drug charge (marijuana possession). Torres was taken into custody and cited for operating under suspension, and was picked up by the Bucks County Sheriffs Department.

Vehicle Theft - On July 10 an officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Ambler Rd. for a report of a stolen vehicle. When the officer arrived, the victim said his 2012 metallic grey Toyota Prius hatchback was parked in the driveway at the residence on July 9 at or about 2 p.m. When the victim looked for the vehicle on July 10 at approximately 6 a.m., the vehicle was gone.

Theft from Vehicle - On Sunday, July 8 at approximately 8:30 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Ambler Borough Police Headquarters for a theft report, Upon arrival, the victim stated that while he was picking up dinner at Costa’s Deli, 901 Bethlehem Pike, he had parked his white Volvo wagon in the lot between Costa’s and 907 Butler Pike. When he came out with the food, he notices his phone and backpack were gone. He was not sure he had locked his vehicle. He then immediately drove to the Ambler Police station to make a report. Reported missing was his black “Al Merrick” back pack, which contained his passport, Bose headphones, and MacBook Pro computer. His black iPhone 4S was also missing from the vehicle.

DUI - On Saturday, July 7, at approximately 2:37 a.m., an officer following a silver Toyota Corolla, in the area of Butler Pike and Susquehanna Rd., observed it cross the white fog line and straddle the center dividing line twice. The vehicle then turned right on red where it was prohibited, at Butler Pike and Norristown Rd. The officer initiated a traffic stop at Butler Pike and Hood Lane. From the driver, identified as Carla Cueto, 24, of the 2000 block of Grisdale Rd. in Abington, the officer could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverages and Cueto’s eyes were glassy. Cueto provided two breath tests, with the lowest reading of .144 percent. She will be charged with DUI, Careless Driving, and a Red Light violation.

DUI - On July 5 at approximately 11:21 p.m., an officer observed a red Toyota Cruiser traveling west on Susquehanna Rd. at Ft. Washington Ave. The Toyota failed to stop for a steady red signal at the intersection. The officer stopped the driver, identified as Robert G. Irvin, of the 500 block of Sellersville, had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage and glassy, bloodshot eyes. Irvin was arrested for DUI and transported to the Upper Dublin Station. At the station, Irvin submitted to a breath test, yielding a  .126 percent BAC.
