PA Liquor Control Board to Raise Prices

Upper Dublin may be getting a new in Maple Glen, but residents across the state will be getting raised prices on hundreds of their favorite spirits.

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board announced Wednesday that they will be increasing prices on 313 wines and hard liquor brands out of the thousands of items that are carried in February.

According to a report by Philly.com, the increases vary anywhere from 50 cents to $5 and the price changes will go into effect in January.

NBC Philadelphia reported that producers have been hit with higher material and shipping costs.

According to Philly.com, some of the products on the increase list include Two Vines Chardonnay and Two Vines Cabernet Sauvignon, both of which will go from $16.99 to $17.99; and the changes will add $1 to the current $21.99 priced bottle of Kahlua Coffee liqueur and $13.99 bottle of Skinnygirl Margarita. It will also add $5 to the current $139.99 bottle of Dom Perignon champagne.
