June 22: 5 Things to Know Today, Update on Cheryl Bremble

Check out 'Five Things' for events and information.

1: Cheryl Bremble, the Upper Dublin High School teacher who to corruption of a minor, has had her preliminary hearing pushed back. Bremble, who is out on $25,000 bail, was originally scheduled for her preliminary hearing with District Court Judge Patricia Zaffarano in Ambler yesterday. However, that hearing has now been pushed until July 25.

Preliminary hearings are generally when the prosecution will lay out their basic evidence of the charged crimes, while the defense will attempt to prove that the charges are baseless and thus have the case thrown out. Although purely speculative, delays in the preliminary hearing are often the result of the two sides attempting to reach a plea agreement. Bremble will be represented by Philadelphia-based criminal defense attorney Marc Neff.

2: There's a new restaurant coming to Upper Dublin. Sorta. Upper Moreland-Willow Grove Patch Editor Gerry Dungan let me know that Rossoneri's Ristorante, currently of that area, is moving into the Allegro Grille of Maple Glen in August. They'll keep that name, but the menu will be mostly of Rosseoneri's. Which, according to the in the UM-WG Patch, is a great thing.
