Luanne Fisher, Ph.D., President and CEO of the non-profit human service organization, Liberty Lutheran, is the recipient of the LeadingAge 2012 Excellence in Leadership Award. The award was presented during the 2012 LeadingAge Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado on Oct. 22.
The national LeadingAge Excellence in Leadership Award seeks to showcase the efforts demonstrated by an exemplary leader, individual and employee. Luanne Fisher has dedicated more than 35 years to the advancement and innovation of care and services for the aging. As President and CEO of Liberty Lutheran she has worked tirelessly to develop the organization’s growing vision, pioneering, expanding and enhancing its services, as well as sharing expertise through education and consultation. The non-profit Liberty Lutheran annually serves more than 58,000 individuals in Eastern and Central Pennsylvania with the dedicated support of a staff of 1,100.
