They just don't write 'em like they used to, eh? The lyrical writing is actually taken directly from an advertisement.
This ad ran in a 1923 publication in the Montgomery County area, advertising a property that now rests in what is known as Upper Dublin Township. A full acre and home were up for sale.
The old-time ad is available for sale itself, believe it or not, on the popular auction website called Ebay. This listing shows the home ad up for just $12.98. It is dated from 1923, and claims to be an original print, from its seller, "Woods_Elf."
It's not often you find a piece of land, let alone full home, for just $8,000, but such were the times. You can find other Upper Dublin-unique items on Ebay by searching for "Upper Dublin, PA" in the search bar.
