After the final round of state auditions, Upper Dublin High School senior David Lu has earned distinction by being the top-rated orchestra Percussionist in all of Pennsylvania.  David participated in the Pennsylvania Music Educators’ Association All-State Festival on April 18 – 21 held in Lancaster.  The festival was concluded by a performance of the All-State Orchestra, where David performed works by Bernstein, Rachmaninov, and Tchaikovsky.  David is a member of Sandy Run band director Sean Kennedy’s percussion studio, as well as a student of high school band director Chris Horn.  David also performs in the Upper Dublin High School Symphony Orchestra, directed by Virginia Herrmann, and the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra.
